Maketh Thou is a curiosity project; we love questioning norms and changing the way leather fashion is perceived. 

Inspired deeply by our second home New York, Maketh Thou was born in 2023 - founded by our designer Maanasa, a Parsons School of Design alum. Creating accessible, high-fashion leather pieces is at the center of all our creative and practical decisions.

All Maketh Thou products are meticulously crafted in small batches, in-house at the designer’s family studio that was once her childhood home. Growing up in close proximity to a leather garment atelier, Maanasa has been around leather fashion her whole life. This influence translates into concepts that go beyond conventional leather goods and leather apparel.

 The designer's father, with over four decades of experience in leather technology is fully involved in the processing of our leathers in LWG certified tanneries. This reflects in the way our leathers wear in and age. 

Established in 2018 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. AEIE remains dedicated to the relentless pursuit of crafting singular and exceptionally graceful, alluring, and refined designs. For AEIE, Vietnamese culture is a seemingly endless source of inspiration.
