AKA.MYDINH |midin| is a soul-searching fashion label, based in Saigon, Vietnam. We are deeply inspired by youth, coming-of-age and self-discovery. Our visual attempts to search for silver linings of the mundane everyday life.
“A.K.A” is widely transcribed for “as known as” in popular culture followed by the name of the label’s founder, My Dinh. Her full name in Vietnamese is Dinh Nguyen Kieu My. AKA.MYDINH is her adaptation and response to the Western first name_last name structure which is completely reversed in her own culture.
Our mission is to salvage factory excess around Saigon (Vietnam) and turn them into fashion items that are true to ourselves.
